Maserati celebrates its 2008 titles at the factory

The Vitaphone Racing Team, in their Maseratis, put on a spectacular show as they celebrated the International FIA GT Championship Team and Drivers’ titles together with Maserati employees.

For the first time in its history, Maserati decided to celebrate its success in the 2008 International FIA GT Championship at its historic Viale Ciro Menotti headquarters in Modena. The occasion was marked by an amazing driving display put on by Andrea Bertolini and Michael Bartels.

The pair, FIA GT champions in both 2006 and 2008, brought to life all the excitement of the series with a simulated pit-stop and driver changes. The crowd of several hundred Maserati employees were thrilled by the exhibition.

After the excitement was over, the two drivers from the Vitaphone Racing Team, champions in the Team Championship, signed posters and T-shirts that commemorated the double title haul in 2008. The latest championship wins take the titles tally in the FIA GT in the past four years to ten.
