Abarth 500 “esseesse”

True to the philosophy that’s driven Abarth for half a century – transferring racing experience to the market and opening up the world of motor sports to a larger public – the “esseesse” conversion kit pushes the Abarth 500, quite a feisty little number to begin with, up to a whole ‘nother level of the game: a badder ‘Barth by far.
The “esseesse” – SS, for Super Sport – kit boosts output of the 16-valve 1.4-liter Turbo T-Jet engine to 160 HP (147 KW) at 5750 rpm, hitting 230 Nm peak torque at 3000 revs in “Sport Boost mode”. Performance that makes the heart pound: top speed is 211 km/h, while 0-to-100 acceleration takes a mere 7.4 seconds. In the best Abarth tradition, the “esseesse” kit includes cross-drilled and ventilated front brake discs measuring 284 x 22 mm, cross-drilled rear discs measuring 240 x 11 mm, high-performance front brake pads, shorter springs that make the car ride even lower than its standard counterpart, and Abarth “esseesse” 7x17 inch ET35 alloy wheels finished in white or titanium with 205/40 ZR 17 tires.
The Abarth 500 “esseesse” kit is topped off by a unique air cleaner supplied by BMC, four tire pressure sensors, and “esseesse” badges for the hood and liftgate.
The “esseesse” kit comes in an elegant wooden case – an Abarth institution in itself – and can only be sold and installed by the official network of Abarth tuners, guaranteeing compliance with the highest testing and safety standards.
