Cars from Italy



According to statistics Italy is one among the top 5 most visited countries in the world. Italy is known for its rich cultural heritage of Romans and Greeks, ancient monuments, food and the scenic beauty the country is blessed with. Tourist attractions in Italy are mainly to places like Rome, Milan and The Vatican. With Rome getting the highest number of visitors a year for the ancient Colosseum, islands like Sicily and Sardinia are known for their exotic beaches.

Italy has also become synonym for another thing; CARS! Yes you are right; as soon as you hear names like Alfa Romeo, Ferrari, Fiat, Lancia, Lamborghini etc. Italy comes to your mind. Adventure racing is not only famous in Italy, but is more like a tradition. With F1 (Formula One) becoming more of a religion, beginners’ adventure racing has set the trend in Italy.           Fiat stands for ‘Fabbrica Italiana Automobili Torino’ is one of the oldest auto manufacturers of Italy and a brand name with dignity. Lamborghini is another brand with funky and sporty looks and feel. The company was taken over by the German auto giant Audi some fifteen years back. Its Concept S car is a Gallardo derivative and is much awaited by the enthusiasts. The Reventon and Aventador are the newest models of Lamborghini.


Ferrari is another global brand of sports car. It has almost become a parallel name for the Formula one racing event. Ferrari also produces luxury sedans like ‘FF’ and many concept cars and eco friendly technologies. Alfa Romeo is a popular brand in Italy for expensive sports cars. It was taken over by the Fiat group in 2007. With Giulietta and 159, Alfa is famous for its road cars and sedan variants too.
